All-Star Uniform Turn-in
Little League All Star families -
Thanks again for hosting a great All Star event and for sending your kids into the event. There is truly nothing like a Little League tournament with its obvious focus on family and kid-first agendas. Your competition went on to represent us well, winning their opening game in the Regional Tournament. Mark your calendars for the ESPN2 showing of the Softball World Series games, Aug 12 and 13.

Please return the navy Chan Storm uniform to my doorstep - no need to remove the patch, but no worries if you already did. [8450 Mission Hills Circle]. Hats and socks are yours to keep.

EXCEPTION - if you are playing 14U Fall Ball, please keep your uniform.

Thanks all - have a great week, Anne

Chanhassen Little League and Chaska Area Youth Baseball Association agree to commence talks regarding a true and unified District 112 youth baseball program for 2009
We are pleased to announce that Chanhassen Little League (CLL) and Chaska Area Youth Baseball Association (CAYBA, also known as Cal Ripken) have agreed to enter into discussions regarding the merger of their respective programs for the 2009 or 2010 season. The potential merger of these two excellent youth baseball leagues would result in a unified District 112 league for all of the children of Chaska, Chanhassen, Carver, East Union and Victoria. Both associations feel that a merger would potential allow for better service to the members through player development, field allocation, competition and fundraising. The affiliation(s) of the proposed unified league would be with Little League International and Babe Ruth National.

To facilitate the potential merger of CLL and CAYBA, an exploratory committee has been formed. To encourage open discussions during the investigation process, no current member of either board will be serving on it. The committee itself is made up of six individuals, three from each of the current leagues. This committee will investigate all aspects of the potential merger and will report directly to both current boards with their findings and recommendations.

We hope that all of you are excited about the possibilities that this unified league may bring. This is an excellent opportunity for all the girls and boys of District 112 to come together with combined resources and play ball. We look forward to keeping you up-to-date and advised of the up-coming merger talks.
