Celebrating Responsible Sports at the Olympic Games

A Guide to Watching The Games With Your Kids

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."

The quote is the Olympic Creed, created by Pierre de Coubertin, considered the father of the Modern Olympics and the founder of the International Olympic Committee (IOC.) What many don't know is that the Olympic Motto and the Olympic Creed that de Coubertin created, was thanks in large part to a volunteer coach who believed that sport could be used as a powerful educational tool. This month, we celebrate the Olympic Games and all of the terrific life lessons that the Games demonstrate for kids and parents alike
